It’s so easy to scroll through Pinterest & Instagram and see beautiful photographs of flat lay details from other people’s wedding galleries. But what if I told you that it’s even easier to help your photographer achieve those desirable photos you long for by creating a details box that gives them everything they need to succeed?
The first thing you want to do is decide on what items are most important to you both as a couple. For brides those items may include: rings, perfume, necklace, bracelet, earrings, veil, shoes, invitation suite, something borrowed, something blue, and even something new.
For grooms it might be: bow tie/tie, shoes, cologne, tie clips, cufflinks, and a pocket square.
Second, you will want to collect all of your items and put them all together in a box. Your photographer will know that everything in the box are items you wish to be included in your detailed photographs.
Next, I would contact your florist and ask for a few extra florals to be added so that they can be incorporated into your photos. You’ve carefully selected your details and flowers for you wedding day and we want to help capture it all exactly how you imagined it!
The week of your wedding you’ll want to make sure your rings are all professionally cleaned, this helps when we take close up photos of your ring to show how it shines and sparkles. Plus then it will look amazing on your hand during all your photos.
To help limit your stress on your wedding day, you should delegate someone to be in charge of your details box so that when your photographer arrives all they need to do is be handed the box and they can get right to work. You might want to consider your wedding planner or maid of honor for this task.
